SPRING CE In-Person
Join us for the 2024 Spring Continuing Education (CE) Day!
The Spring CE will be held at the Corning Radisson Hotel. There will be 12 learning sessions geared towards library staff, directors, and trustees. Everyone in attendance will have a chance to learn through practical lessons and experiences, which are intended to strengthen our public librarian practices. Additionally, participants will have plenty of opportunities to network and connect with their library system colleagues.
This day of learning is free of charge. Breakfast refreshments will be provided to participants upon arrival, and a full lunch buffet will be available between 11:45 am - 12:50 pm. Thanks to the Chemung County Library District for co-sponsoring this event.

| 8:50-10:15 | Keynote: Occupational Stress
This workshop deals with how people and workplaces are affected by occupational stress, both acute and chronic. Dealing with stress can offer two options: change the stressor or teach the affected person to develop coping skills. A good stress reduction program incorporates both options so that attendees can appreciate that some stressors can be changed and some cannot; where stressors cannot be changed, good self-care and coping skills enable people to maintain their health and performance. |
