Strategic Planning Cohort Interest Meeting In-Person

Are you currently participating in a strategic planning process for your library? Are you entertaining the idea of leading a strategic planning process in the near future? Do you want to learn more about strategic planning, and how it can benefit your library and community?

STLS will host a Strategic Planning Cohort Interest Meeting on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023 at 10:00 am to bring member libraries together around the idea of strategic planning. There will be a brief overview of what the strategic planning process is, and how it can benefit your mission.

Members will then be asked to share their stories about what they are doing, or would like to do about strategic planning. It is our hope we will be able to start a working group for member libraries to meet-up, share best practices, and support each other as they embark on planning.

We have no major aspirations for this group. We just want to provide a space for people who are really excited about planning, or interested in learning more. Outcomes from the interest group meeting are up to the participants. This meeting may benefit all member stakeholders (staff, directors, trustees, Friends, or volunteers). Please consider joining us!

Library Trustee Learning Certified: This workhop meets New York State Legislated Library Trustee Training requirements, and counts as 1.0 credit hour towards annual library trustee training. Participants will be emailed a certificate upon completion for library record keeping.
