Implicit Bias In-Person

Do you ever wonder why you believe what you believe? Through this introduction to implicit bias we examine how our upbringing, the media and other social constructs shape our thought processes, most of the time without us even knowing it.

Michelle Nicholas is the Special Projects Coordinator at Catholic Charities of Chemung/Schuyler, with a focus on Cultural Competence and Health Literacy. She has over 20 years of experience working with various vulnerable populations, including people living with developmental disabilities, mental illness and/or substance use, people who are experiencing poverty, racial minorities and those from the LGBTQ+ community. Michelle has a Master's degree in Organizational Management from Keuka College in addition to professional certifications from Ohio State, Yale and Duke Universities.
